1. Who We Are

Creators Corner NG is a creative industry platform based in Lagos, Nigeria. We operate as the data controller for all personal data collected through this website and our programs. Contact: contact@creatorscorner.ng.

2. Data We Collect

We collect personal data when you:

  • Submit a membership or interest registration form (name, email, phone number, creative discipline)
  • Subscribe to our newsletter (email address)
  • Register for an event or program (name, email, contact details)
  • Contact us directly via email or social media
  • Submit a portfolio or apply for Vetted Pro / Premium Elite membership

We also collect non-personal technical data through cookies and analytics (see Section 7).

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Process membership applications and manage your account
  • Send you event notifications, newsletters, and platform updates you have opted into
  • Match vetted creators with brand opportunities (Vetted Pro and Premium Elite members only)
  • Respond to your enquiries and support requests
  • Improve the Platform and our programs through aggregated, anonymised analytics
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

We process your data on the basis of your consent (for newsletters and marketing) and the performance of a contract (for membership services).

4. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Brand partners: Only with your explicit consent and only the information necessary for a specific opportunity (e.g., your portfolio and contact details when you are being matched with a brand brief)
  • Service providers: Payment processors (Paystack / Flutterwave), email marketing tools (used to send newsletters), and website hosting providers, all bound by data processing agreements
  • Legal authorities: Where required by Nigerian law or a valid court order

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as required by law. If you withdraw consent or request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days except where retention is required for legal, financial, or safety reasons.

Newsletter subscription data is retained until you unsubscribe. Event registration data is retained for 12 months after the event.

6. Your Rights

Under the NDPR and NDPA 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Objection: Object to processing for marketing purposes
  • Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent to newsletter or marketing communications at any time
  • Lodge a complaint: With the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) if you believe your data rights have been violated

This website uses minimal cookies to ensure basic functionality (e.g., remembering your preferences). We do not use advertising tracking cookies or third-party analytics that identify you personally without consent.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss. Payment data is handled entirely by our certified payment processors and is never stored on our servers.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website contains links to social media platforms and external services (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Photos). These platforms have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We are not responsible for their data practices.

10. Children's Privacy

The Creators Corner NG platform is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered members via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
